How to Use the Calculator

How It Calculates Results

  • For a High Jump, the calculator uses the formula: Jump Height (ft) = 3 + (Strength Score – 10) / 2.
  • A Standing Long Jump is half your Strength score.
  • A Running Long Jump requires a 10 ft. run up and is equal to your Strength score.

Limitations

There are some conditions and abilities in DnD 5e that can modify jump distance, such as magic items or spells. This calculator does not account for any such bonuses or conditions and assumes a base scenario for standard characters without additional modifiers.
