Our due date calculator helps you easily determine your estimated due date based on the first day of your last menstrual period.
How to Use the Due Date Calculator
This calculator estimates your due date based on the date of your last menstrual period (LMP), average cycle length, and luteal phase length. Follow these steps to use it:
- Input the start date of your last menstrual period.
- Input your average cycle length in days. The default is 28 days, but you can adjust it if your cycles are commonly shorter or longer.
- Input your luteal phase length in days. The default is 14 days, which is the average, but you can adjust it based on your knowledge or medical advice.
- Click the “Calculate” button to get your estimated due date.
How It Calculates the Results
The calculator adds your average cycle length to the start date of your last menstrual period to estimate the ovulation date. Then, it adds the length of your luteal phase to the calculated ovulation date to estimate the conception date. Finally, it adds 266 days (the average length of human gestation) to the conception date to provide the estimated due date.
Limitations
Please note, this calculator provides an estimated due date and should not replace professional medical advice. Factors like cycle irregularities, variations in implantation times, and other physiological differences can affect the accuracy of the calculation.
