AP Score Calculator
How to Use the Calculator
Input your raw score and the total number of questions in the provided fields, then click the “Calculate” button. The calculator will display your AP score based on the percentage of questions you got right. For example, getting 45 out of a total of 50 questions will calculate as an AP score of 5.
How the Calculator Works
The calculator converts your raw score into a percentage, then assigns an AP score from 1 to 5 based on the resulting percentage as follows:
- A percentage of 90% and above yields an AP score of 5.
- A percentage from 80% to 89% yields an AP score of 4.
- A percentage from 70% to 79% yields an AP score of 3.
- A percentage from 60% to 69% yields an AP score of 2.
- A percentage below 60% yields an AP score of 1.
Limitations of the Calculator
Please note that this calculator provides an estimated AP score based on the raw score you enter and does not take into account the curve that may be applied to the actual AP exams, which can vary from year to year and subject to subject. It does not reflect official scoring by the College Board.
