True Shooting Percentage Calculator

True Shooting Percentage (TS%) is a basketball statistic that measures a player’s efficiency at shooting the ball. It takes into account field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.

How to use:

  1. Enter the total number of points scored by the player.
  2. Enter the number of field goal attempts.
  3. Enter the number of free throws made.
  4. Enter the number of free throw attempts.
  5. Click on the ‘Calculate’ button to see the True Shooting Percentage.

How it calculates the result: The calculator uses the following formula:

TS% = Points / (2 * (Field Goals Attempted + 0.44 * Free Throw Attempts))

Limitations: This calculator provides an estimate based on entered data. It assumes that all field goals are worth 2 points except for 3-point makes, which must be accounted for in the total points. It cannot determine individual play types or context within a game.
