How it calculates the results:
Plan B is most effective if taken within 72 hours (3 days) of unprotected sex, and it continues to be moderately effective up until 120 hours (5 days). After 120 hours, its effectiveness decreases substantially. This calculator considers anything over 120 hours as the point where Plan B is unlikely to be effective.
