How It Calculates:
The calculator uses the formula:
Volume (ft³) = Length (ft) x Width (ft) x Depth (ft) Weight of Rock = Volume x Density Adjusted Weight with Voids = Weight of Rock x (1 - Void Percentage / 100)The calculator first computes the total volume, then multiplies it by the rock density to find the total weight of the rock without voids, and finally adjusts this weight considering voids.
Limitations:
1. The calculator assumes the area to be filled is a perfect rectangle.
2. The results are estimates and can vary based on the accuracy of the input values.
