This tool helps you estimate your potential AP Chinese exam score based on your practice test results.
How to Use the AP Chinese Score Calculator
To use this calculator, input your scores for each section of the AP Chinese exam into the respective fields. Click the “Calculate” button to see your composite score.
How the Calculator Works:
- Multiple Choice: Enter your raw score out of 70. This field calculates to 50% of the total composite score.
- Free Response: Enter your raw scores for each of the six free response questions. These fields together account for the remaining 50% of the composite score.
Calculation Process:
The calculator first normalizes the multiple choice score to a maximum of 50 by multiplying the raw score by a factor of (50/70). Each free response question score is added together and normalized to a maximum of 50 by dividing the sum by 6 and then multiplying by 5.
The final composite score is the sum of the normalized multiple choice score and the normalized free response score.
Limitations:
- This calculator is for estimation purposes only and may not reflect the exact score you will receive on the actual AP Chinese exam.
- Scores entered must be within the appropriate range (0 to 70 for multiple choice, 0 to 10 for each free response question).
