This calculator allows you to determine the chances of obtaining a shiny Pokémon when breeding two Pokémon in the games.
How to Use It
To use this calculator, follow these steps:
- Enter the name of the first parent Pokémon in the “Parent Pokémon 1” field.
- Enter the name of the second parent Pokémon in the “Parent Pokémon 2” field.
- Enter the egg group category of the first parent Pokémon in the “Egg Group of Parent Pokémon 1” field.
- Enter the egg group category of the second parent Pokémon in the “Egg Group of Parent Pokémon 2” field.
- Specify the gender of the first parent Pokémon (Male or Female) in the “Gender of Parent Pokémon 1” field.
- Specify the gender of the second parent Pokémon (Male or Female) in the “Gender of Parent Pokémon 2” field.
- Indicate if you possess a Shiny Charm in the “Do you have a Shiny Charm?” field. Enter “Yes” or “No”.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see the result in the “Result” field.
How It Calculates the Results
The calculator checks if the two Pokémon belong to the same egg group and if they are of opposite genders. If both conditions are met, it calculates the chance based on the Shiny Charm’s presence. Without a Shiny Charm, the chance is 0.8%. With a Shiny Charm, the chance increases to 1.25%.
Limitations
This calculator does not consider factors like regional variants, non-breedable Pokémon, or more complex breeding mechanics. The breeding chance percentages are simplified for general use and do not account for game-specific mechanics.
