This tool helps you calculate your Average Monthly Donation Requirement (AMDR) based on your input.
AMDR Calculator Explanation
This calculator estimates your Acceptable Macronutrient Distribution Ranges (AMDR) based on your individual characteristics and activity level. The AMDR are ranges of intake for each macronutrient required for maintaining health.
How to use:
- Enter your age in years.
- Enter your weight in kilograms.
- Enter your height in centimeters.
- Select your gender.
- Choose your activity level from the dropdown menu.
- Click on the “Calculate” button.
- The result will display your total calorie requirements per day.
How it calculates:
The calculation uses the Harris–Benedict principle for Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR) and then multiplies this value by the activity factor you selected. The general formulas used are:
- For men: BMR = 88.362 + (13.397 x weight) + (4.799 x height) – (5.677 x age)
- For women: BMR = 447.593 + (9.247 x weight) + (3.098 x height) – (4.330 x age)
- Total Calorie Requirement = BMR x Activity Level
Limitations:
This calculator provides an estimate and may not be perfectly accurate for all individuals. Variations in muscle mass, health conditions, and other factors may require adjustments. Always consult with healthcare providers for personalized nutrition advice.
Use Cases for This Calculator
