How it Calculates the Results

The Fry Readability calculator uses the following steps to determine the readability of your input text:

  • Calculates the number of syllables in the text.
  • Determines the average number of sentences per 100 words.
  • Determines the average number of syllables per 100 words.
  • Uses a formula to derive the Fry Readability Score from these averages.

Limitations

This tool has certain limitations:

  • The accuracy of syllable counting may vary, e.g., it can struggle with irregular syllable words or non-standard usages.
