To use this calculator, enter your average working hours per week, hourly rate, the number of vacation days you take per year and your tax rate as a percentage in the respective input fields and click the “Calculate” button.

How it Calculates the Results

The calculator performs the following calculations:

  • It calculates the total number of hours you work in a year by multiplying your weekly working hours by 52.
  • It subtracts the number of vacation days converted into hours from the total annual working hours to get your net working hours.
  • It calculates your gross annual income by multiplying your net working hours by your hourly rate.
  • It calculates your net annual income by subtracting the tax amount (gross annual income multiplied by the tax rate) from the gross annual income.
  • It divides both the gross annual income and the net annual income by 12 to get the gross and net monthly incomes respectively.

Limitations

This calculator provides an approximation and assumes all weeks in a year are worked except for the vacation days specified. It does not take into account other types of leave or deductions such as health insurance or retirement contributions.
