Curtain Size Calculator – Find the Perfect Fit for Your Windows

Use this curtain size calculator to quickly determine the dimensions you need for your windows.

How to Use the Curtain Size Calculator:
Enter the width and height measurements of your window in meters into the relevant fields. Set the desired fullness of the curtains (a factor that determines how bunched or pleated the curtains will be – typically between 1.5 and 2.5). Click the “Calculate” button to find out the total square meters of fabric required for your curtains.

How it Calculates:
The calculator multiplies the curtain width by height to determine the area in square meters. It then multiplies this area by the fullness factor to estimate the amount of fabric needed. The formula is:
Fabric Required = Width × Height × Fullness

Limitations:
This calculator does not account for fabric pattern repeats or allowances for hems and seams. It assumes the fabric can be used widthwise without wastage. Additional fabric may be required if your fabric has a large pattern repeat or if you wish to match patterns across multiple curtains. Consult with a professional if you are in doubt or need more detailed calculations.
