Use this AP Calc AB score calculator to quickly determine your potential score on the exam based on your correct answers.
The AP Calculus AB score calculator above will provide you with an estimate of your score on the AP exam. To use the calculator, input the number of multiple-choice questions you got correct under “Multiple Choice Correct”. Then, enter the number of multiple-choice questions you got wrong under “Multiple Choice Incorrect”. Next, for each FRQ (Free Response Question), input your estimated score in the corresponding box. Once all fields are completed, click on the “Calculate” button to get your estimated AP score.
The calculator computes your score based on the standard scoring guidelines for AP Calculus AB, where the multiple-choice section is worth 50% and the free-response section is worth 50%. Incorrect multiple-choice answers are penalized by subtracting one-fourth of a point. The calculator then provides an estimated AP score on the 1-5 scale based on the composite score it computes.
Please note, this calculator is only an estimate based on the inputted scores and should not be taken as an official result. The College Board calculates official scores using a more complex scaling process, and many other factors, such as the difficulty of the particular exam, can influence the final scaled score.
