How to Use the Score Calculator

Enter the number of questions you got correct in the Multiple Choice section. Then, enter the score you received on each of the four Free Response Questions (FRQs). Each FRQ should be scored between 0 and 6. Once you have filled out all fields, click the “Calculate” button to see your estimated AP Government score.

How the Calculator Works

The calculator first converts the number of correct answers in the Multiple Choice section into a scaled score. Then, it adds the raw scores from the FRQs. Based on the total combined score, it estimates your final AP score, which ranges from 1 to 5, where 1 is the lowest and 5 is the highest possible score.

Calculator Limitations

This calculator provides an estimated AP score based on provided inputs and a standard scoring guideline. The actual AP score might differ due to test variations, weighting changes, and College Board’s final score setting process. This calculator should be used for practice purposes and to get a general idea of your performance.
