### How it Works

This average down calculator helps you to determine the new average price per share after purchasing additional shares at a different price. To use the calculator, input:

- The number of shares you already own (
**Initial Shares**). - The price at which you bought those shares (
**Initial Price**). - The number of additional shares you are buying (
**Additional Shares**). - The price at which you are buying the additional shares (
**Additional Price**).

After entering all these numbers, click the **Calculate** button to find out your new average cost per share.

### How to Use It

- Enter the number of shares you currently own in the “Initial Shares” field.
- Enter the price at which you purchased those shares in the “Initial Price” field.
