How It Calculates the Results

The BCR (Basal Metabolic Rate) is calculated using different formulas for men and women. For men, the formula is:

 BMR = 10 * weight + 6.25 * height - 5 * age + 5 

For women, the formula is:

 BMR = 10 * weight + 6.25 * height - 5 * age - 161 

Based on your activity level, the total daily calorie needs are calculated by multiplying your BMR by the appropriate activity factor:

  • Sedentary: BMR x 1.2
  • Light: BMR x 1.375
  • Moderate: BMR x 1.55
  • Active: BMR x 1.725
  • Very Active: BMR x 1.9
