Use this tool to easily calculate the amount of wax needed to make your candles.
How to Use the Candle Wax Calculator
This calculator helps you determine the amount of fragrance oil to be used when making candles based on the wax amount, mold volume, fragrance oil percentage, and the wick length.
Steps to Use:
- Enter the amount of wax you are using in grams.
- Enter the volume of your candle mold in milliliters.
- Specify the desired percentage of fragrance oil.
- Enter the wick length in centimeters.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see the results.
How It Calculates:
The calculator follows these steps:
- Calculates the fragrance oil amount based on the given percentage.
- Determines the total volume of wax and fragrance oil combined, considering the density of wax (0.9g/ml).
- Checks if the combined volume fits within the provided mold volume.
- Displays the required fragrance oil and wick length if the total volume fits within the mold capacity.
- If the total volume exceeds the mold capacity, it provides a warning.
Limitations:
This calculator assumes a fixed density for wax and does not account for variances in wax types or their densities. It’s important to double-check the values if using different types of wax or additives. Always verify that the total volume does not exceed mold capacity to avoid overflows.
