Use this tool to accurately calculate your cumulative grade point average (CGPA) based on your course grades.
CGPA Calculator
How It Works
This CGPA calculator is designed to help students calculate their cumulative grade point average. The calculator requires two sets of inputs: grades and corresponding credit hours for each course.
To use this calculator:
- Enter all your grades in the first field, separated by commas.
- Enter the corresponding credit hours for each course in the next field, also separated by commas.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see your result.
The calculator converts each letter grade to its grade point equivalent and multiplies it by the course’s credit hours. It sums all of these values and divides them by the total number of credit hours to find the CGPA.
Limitations
This calculator assumes a standard 4.0 grading scale and might not reflect the policies of all educational institutions. The calculator does not support plus/minus variations for D and F grades and cannot accept pass/fail or credit/no credit grades. User’s input should strictly follow the format – no spaces or other characters between the commas, and they must ensure the number of grades matches the number of credits. Inaccurate inputs will yield incorrect CGPA calculations.
