Chapter 13 Calculator: Estimate Your Bankruptcy Payments Easily

Use this Chapter 13 calculator tool to estimate your monthly bankruptcy repayment plan payments based on your financial details.

Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Payment Calculator

Use this calculator to estimate your monthly payment to your creditors under a Chapter 13 bankruptcy plan. Please insert your monthly disposable income, your total non-priority unsecured debts, any priority debts, and the duration of your payment plan in months.

How to Use It

Enter the Monthly Disposable Income which is your income after taxes and necessary living expenses. Next, enter the Total Non-Priority Unsecured Debts which includes credit cards, personal loans, and medical bills, and the Total Priority Debts like taxes or child support that you must pay in full. Lastly, specify the Plan Duration which is often 36 to 60 months. Hit “Calculate” to see your estimated monthly payment.

How It Calculates Results

The calculator takes your entered non-priority unsecured debt and subtracts any priority debts to determine your non-priority debt amount. It then divides this figure by the duration of your payment plan in months to find your base monthly payment. If your disposable income is less than this calculated payment, your disposable income will be your payment amount. Otherwise, your payment amount will match the base monthly payment.

Limitations

This calculator is an estimation tool and should not be considered as a guarantee of the actual payments in a confirmed Chapter 13 plan. It does not account for varying state or district laws and it assumes all information entered is accurate and verifiable. For a detailed payment plan, you should consult with a bankruptcy attorney.
