Use this calculator to determine if you have enough space for your desired number of columns within a given area.
How to Use the Calculator:
- Enter the number of columns you want to place.
- Input the width of each column.
- Specify the space you want between each column.
- Provide the total available width where you want to fit your columns.
- Click on “Calculate” to see if your layout fits the available space.
How it Calculates:
The calculator sums up the space required by the columns and the space between them and then subtracts it from the total available width. If the result is non-negative, you have enough space for your columns. Otherwise, you need to adjust the number of columns, their width or the spacing between them.
Limitations:
This calculator does not take into account any padding or margin that may be present outside of the columns. You should consider these additional measures if applicable to your layout when determining total width.
