How Results Are Calculated

The results are calculated using the compound interest formula, which accounts for the initial investment amount, annual contributions, and the annual interest rate over the specified number of years.

A = P(1 + r/n)^(nt) + C[(((1 + r/n)^(nt) - 1) / (r/n))]
Where:
- A is the amount of money accumulated after n years, including interest.
- P is the principal amount (the initial amount of money).
- r is the annual interest rate (decimal).
- n is the number of times that interest is compounded per year.
- t is the time the money is invested for in years.
- C is the annual contribution.

Limitations

This calculator assumes a fixed annual interest rate and annual contributions. It does not account for any fees, taxes, or other potential deductions. It also assumes interest compounds annually.
