This electron configuration calculator helps you determine the distribution of electrons in an atom’s shells and subshells based on its atomic number.

How to Use the Electron Configuration Calculator
To use this calculator, simply enter the atomic number of the element for which you want to know the electronic configuration and click on the “Calculate” button. The electronic configuration will then be displayed in the “Result” field.
How the Calculator Works
The calculator uses the Aufbau principle to build up the electron configuration by filling atomic orbitals in the order of increasing atomic number. It fills the defined atomic orbitals in a specific sequence corresponding to the levels and sublevels of increasing energy.
Limitations of the Calculator
This calculator is designed to provide the electron configurations for elements with atomic numbers 1 through 118. It does not account for the more complex aspects of electron configuration such as electron correlation, relativistic effects, or anomalies in electronic configurations due to specific chemical bonding contexts.
