Our ETG (Estimated Time of Sobriety) Calculator will provide you with an estimation of how long it may take for alcohol to leave your system.
ETG Calculator
How to Use the ETG Calculator
To use the ETG Calculator, enter the total amount of alcohol consumed in grams, your body weight in kilograms, and the number of hours that have passed since you finished drinking. Then, click the “Calculate” button to estimate your ETG level. Please note that the results are estimates and should not be taken as medical or legal advice.
How it Calculates Results
The calculator uses the Widmark formula, a commonly used estimation of blood alcohol concentration (BAC) and its subsequent conversion to estimate ETG levels. It takes into consideration your body weight, the amount of alcohol consumed, and the time that has passed since drinking. Please note the result is a rough estimate and actual ETG levels may vary.
Limitations of the Calculator
This calculator has several limitations. It does not account for differences in individual metabolism rates, food intake, type of alcohol consumed, gender differences, or other factors that can influence BAC and ETG levels. It assumes an average elimination rate of alcohol which can vary among individuals. Hence, the ETG level calculated is an approximation and should not be used for medical diagnosis or as evidence in legal matters.
