How to Use the FERS Retirement Calculator
Simply enter your age at retirement, total years of service, and your High-3 Average Salary into the corresponding fields in the form above, then click “Calculate”. The calculator will then compute your estimated annual pension you would receive under the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS).
How the Calculator Works
The calculator determines your pension based on the FERS formula. For those retiring at age 62 or older with at least 20 years of service, the percentage is 1.1% of your high-3 average salary for each year of service. For those retiring before 62 or with fewer than 20 years of service, the percentage is 1% per year of service.
