Use this tool to quickly calculate the Field of View (FoV) for your camera’s lens based on its specifications.
Field of Coverage (FOC) Calculator
How the FOC Calculator Works
This calculator is designed to compute the field of coverage (FOC) for an antenna. The FOC is calculated as the product of the perimeter of the circular coverage area and the antenna height. To use this calculator, you need to enter the Signal Radius, which is the radius of the area that the antenna covers, and the Antenna Height, which is the height at which the antenna is placed above ground.
How to Use It
To use the FOC calculator:
- Enter the radius of the signal area in meters into the first input field.
- Enter the height of the antenna in meters into the second input field.
- Click the “Calculate” button.
- The result will be displayed in square meters in the “Result” field.
Limitations
The FOC calculator assumes a perfect circular area of coverage, which in reality can be affected by various factors including topography and other environmental conditions. The calculator also assumes the antenna is isotropic (radiates equally in all directions), which may not be the case with directional antennas. Therefore, the calculated results are theoretical and should be used as a rough estimate rather than an exact figure.
