Frame Calculator | Accurate Measurements

This tool helps you calculate the dimensions for your picture frames quickly and accurately.

How to Use the Frame Calculator

To use this frame calculator, simply input the length, width, and height of the frame you are planning to use, in meters. Then, select the material you will be using for the frame. The calculator will use these inputs to compute the total weight of the frame.

Calculation Method

The calculator determines the weight of the frame by first calculating its volume using the formula:

Volume = Length × Width × Height

Then, it multiplies the volume by the material’s density to get the weight using the formula:

Weight = Volume × Density

Different materials have different density values which are pre-set in the script. The densities used are:

  • Wood: 600 kg/m3
  • Aluminum: 2700 kg/m3
  • Steel: 7850 kg/m3

Limitations

Please note that this calculator assumes a homogeneous material distribution and does not account for any structural variations or design-specific features that could affect the actual weight. Always consult with a professional for precise calculations, especially for critical applications.
