Golden Ratio Face Calculator: Find Your Facial Symmetry

Use this golden ratio face calculator tool to find out how closely your facial proportions align with the golden ratio.

Golden Ratio Face Calculator

This calculator helps you to determine whether your facial proportions are close to the Golden Ratio. Scientists believe that the Golden Ratio (approximately 1:1.618) is astrohetically pleasing and found naturally in many places, including facial features. When your facial features approximate this ratio, they’re often perceived as balanced and attractive.

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the width of your face at the widest point.
  2. Enter the distance from your lip to your chin in the same units as before.
  3. Enter the full length of your face from hairline to chin.
  4. Click “Calculate” to see whether your features are close to the Golden Ratio.

How It Calculates Results

The calculator takes the measurements you provide and compares them to the Golden Ratio. It divides the face width by the lip to chin distance, and the face length by the lip to chin distance. If both of these ratios are within a small tolerance of the Golden Ratio, it will report that your face has proportions close to the Golden Ratio. Otherwise, it will report a deviation.

Limitations

The calculator provides a simple approximation and should not be considered an exhaustive analysis of facial aesthetics. Beauty is subjective, culturally varied, and can’t be quantified by calculations alone. Furthermore, the calculator assumes that all input measurements are accurate and may not account for natural asymmetry or expression differences in facial features.
