This tool will calculate your middle school GPA based on your grades and credits.
How to Use the GPA Calculator
To use the GPA calculator, enter the grades and corresponding credits for up to five subjects. The grades allowed are A, B, C, D, and F. The credits should be numerical values.
Calculation Method
The GPA is calculated by converting the letter grades to grade points (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0), multiplying each grade point by its corresponding credit, summing up all these points, and dividing by the total number of credits.
Limitations
This GPA calculator assumes a 4.0 scale and does not handle plus or minus grades. Make sure to enter valid grades and numerical credits to get an accurate result.
Use Cases for This Calculator
Calculating Semester GPA
Enter your grades and credit hours for each subject to calculate your semester GPA. The calculator will automatically total your grade points and credit hours, giving you an accurate GPA for the semester.
Adding New Subjects
If you have new subjects with grades to add, simply click the “Add Subject” button to input the required information. The calculator will update your GPA instantly with the newly added subject included.
Adjusting Grades
You can adjust your grades for each subject by clicking on the grade input field and selecting the correct grade from the dropdown menu. The GPA calculator will automatically update your GPA based on the adjusted grades.
Removing Subjects
If you need to remove a subject that you no longer wish to include in the GPA calculation, click on the “Remove” button next to the subject. The calculator will recompute your GPA without including the removed subject.
Viewing Weighted GPA
To see your weighted GPA, input the weights assigned to each grade (e.g., A = 4.0, B = 3.0) in the calculator settings. The GPA calculator will then display your weighted GPA based on these custom weights.
Calculating Cumulative GPA
Input your previous CGPA, total credits earned, and current GPA to calculate your new cumulative GPA. The calculator will factor in your previous GPA and credits to give you an updated cumulative GPA.
Setting Credit Hours
If your subjects have different credit hours, you can input the specific credit hours for each subject in the calculator. The GPA calculation will be more accurate as it considers the credit hours along with the grades.
Clearing All Fields
If you want to start fresh and reset all input fields, just click the “Clear All” button. This will remove all subjects, grades, and credit hours from the calculator, allowing you to begin a new calculation.
Highlighting Low Grades
The calculator can automatically highlight subjects with low grades (e.g., below a C) to draw your attention to areas that may need improvement. This visual cue helps you identify where you may need to focus more effort.
Downloading Report
Once you have finalized your inputs and calculations, you can download a report of your GPA details by clicking the “Download Report” button. The report will include a breakdown of your grades, credit hours, GPA, and any custom settings you have applied.
