Indian Food Calorie Calculator – Know Your Intake

This tool helps you determine the calorie content of popular Indian foods you consume.

How to Use the Indian Food Calorie Calculator

This calculator allows you to calculate the approximate number of calories in a variety of popular Indian dishes. Simply follow these steps:

  1. Select the Indian food item from the dropdown menu.
  2. Enter the quantity in grams.
  3. Click on “Calculate” to see the calorie count.

How It Works

The calculator uses predefined calorie values per 100 grams for each food item. Here’s the data used:

  • Chicken Biryani: 150 calories per 100 grams
  • Dal: 110 calories per 100 grams
  • Naan: 260 calories per 100 grams
  • Samosa: 300 calories per 100 grams
  • Masala Dosa: 170 calories per 100 grams
  • Butter Chicken: 240 calories per 100 grams
  • Palak Paneer: 120 calories per 100 grams

When you enter the quantity and press “Calculate,” the script multiplies the quantity by the calories per gram to give you the total calories.

Limitations

Please note that the calorie values are approximate and based on general recipes. Actual calorie count may vary based on specific ingredients and preparation methods. Use this calculator as a general guide rather than a precise tool.
