How It Works and Its Limitations
Our Lap Day Dog Calendar Calculator checks the input year to determine if it’s a leap year by testing if it’s divisible by 4 but not by 100, unless it’s also divisible by 400. If these conditions are met and the entered month and day correspond to February 29th, it will return that the date is a lap day. Keep in mind that lap days occur only on leap years. This calculator will not account for any other leap day traditions or changes in calendars that may have occurred historically before the adoption of the Gregorian calendar.
