This tool helps you calculate your GPA based on your course grades and credits at NCAT.
How to Use the NCAT GPA Calculator
To use this GPA calculator, enter the credit hours and the letter grade (A, B, C, D, F) for each of your courses. After entering all the necessary information, click the “Calculate” button to determine your GPA. The result will be displayed in the “Result” field.
How It Works
The calculator works by converting letter grades to grade points using the following scale:
- A = 4.0
- B = 3.0
- C = 2.0
- D = 1.0
- F = 0.0
It then multiplies the grade points by the respective credit hours for each course, sums these values, and divides by the total credit hours to compute the GPA.
Limitations
Please note that this calculator assumes all courses contribute equally to the GPA calculation as per the conventional grading system. It does not account for pass/fail courses, or other institutional grading nuances.
