## How to Use the Painting Estimate Calculator

To use this calculator, simply fill in all the required fields:

**Length:**The length of the room in feet.**Width:**The width of the room in feet.**Height:**The height of the room in feet.**Number of Doors:**The total number of doors in the room.**Number of Windows:**The total number of windows in the room.**Cost Per Sq Ft:**The cost of painting per square foot.**Door Area:**The average area of one door (default is 21 sq ft).**Window Area:**The average area of one window (default is 12 sq ft).

## How It Calculates the Results

The calculator uses the given inputs to calculate the total wall area to be painted:

- Wall Area = 2 * Height * (Length + Width)
- Door Area = Number of Doors * Door Area
- Window Area = Number of Windows * Window Area
- Total Paintable Area = Wall Area – Door Area – Window Area
- Estimated Cost = Total Paintable Area * Cost Per Sq Ft

## Limitations

The current calculator has the following limitations:

- It assumes all doors and windows have the same area.
- It does not account for any architectural elements or fixtures.
- It does not take into ceiling painting costs.
