How it Works

The parts calculator allows you to input the quantity and price of up to three different parts. Once you input the required data, clicking the “Calculate” button will compute the total cost for each part and display a breakdown of the results. Each row in the result table shows the part number, total quantity, unit price, and total cost.

How to Use the Calculator

  1. Enter the quantity for Part 1 in the “Part 1 Quantity” field.
  2. Enter the price per unit for Part 1 in the “Part 1 Price” field.
  3. Repeat the process for Part 2 and Part 3 as applicable.
  4. Click the “Calculate” button.

How the Results are Calculated

The calculator multiplies the quantity by the unit price for each part to determine the total cost for that part:

  • Total Cost for Part 1: Part 1 Quantity * Part 1 Price
  • Total Cost for Part 2: Part 2 Quantity * Part 2 Price
  • Total Cost for Part 3: Part 3 Quantity * Part 3 Price

The results are then displayed in a table format within the “Results” section.

Limitations

This calculator is limited to calculating the costs of up to three different parts. Ensure to input valid numbers; otherwise, the fields will not be accepted, and calculations cannot be performed. Each field must be filled in for the calculator to work properly.
