Use our pH calculator to quickly determine the acidity or basicity of a solution.
How to Use the pH Calculator
To use this pH calculator, enter a pH value between 0 and 14 in the input field above and click the “Calculate” button. After submission, you will see whether the solution is acidic, basic (alkaline), or neutral.
How It Works
This pH calculator determines the classification of a solution based on its pH value. Here’s the criteria it uses:
- If the pH value is below 7, the solution is acidic.
- If the pH value is exactly 7, the solution is neutral.
- If the pH value is above 7, the solution is basic (alkaline).
Limitations
This pH calculator strictly works within the range of 0 to 14 which is the typical scale for pH in aqueous solutions. Values outside of this range are considered invalid and are not computed. The calculator does not determine pH based on any other properties of the solution and assumes standard temperature and pressure conditions.
