Use this ppm calculator to accurately determine the parts-per-million concentration of a substance in a solution.
How to Use the PPM Calculator
To use this PPM calculator, simply enter the concentration of your solution in milligrams per cubic meter (mg/m³) or micrograms per cubic meter (ug/m³), and the volume of the solution in liters. Click on the “Calculate” button, and the result will be displayed in the ‘Result’ field in parts per million (ppm).
How It Works
This calculator multiplies the value of concentration by the volume and then divides the product by 1,000,000 to convert the result into parts per million (ppm).
Limitations
This PPM calculator assumes that the solution’s density is close to that of water and does not account for temperature or pressure variations. It is designed for small scale applications and may not be accurate for very large volumes or extreme concentrations.
