Use this R-squared calculator to easily determine the coefficient of determination, which reflects the goodness of fit for your statistical model.
R Squared Calculator
How the R Squared Calculator Works:
R Squared is a statistical measure that represents the proportion of the variance for a dependent variable that’s explained by an independent variable or variables in a regression model. It is a scale from 0 to 1, with 1 indicating that the regression predictions perfectly fit the data.
How to Use the Calculator:
To calculate R Squared, enter the Sum of Squares of Regression (SSR) and the Total Sum of Squares (SST) into their respective fields and click the ‘Calculate’ button. The calculator will output the R Squared value.
Limitations:
This calculator assumes that valid SSR and SST values are entered. Entering a SST of 0 will result in a division by zero error, hence SST must be greater than 0. The calculator doesn’t account for any data validation or error handling beyond this, and the user must ensure that the input is correct for meaningful results.
