How the GPA Calculator Works
The GPA calculator computes your Grade Point Average by taking the following steps:
- Each letter grade is converted into a numerical value based on a 4.0 scale (e.g., A = 4.0, B = 3.0, etc.).
- The numerical value of each grade is multiplied by the number of credit hours for the course to get the quality points for each course.
- The total quality points are summed up and then divided by the total number of credit hours to get the GPA.
Limitations
The GPA calculator has some limitations:
– Only accepts standard letter grades (A, A-, B+, etc.).
– Maximum of 10 courses can be entered.
– Ensure the grades entered are valid to get an accurate calculation.
