The Sean Casey Calculator helps you quickly and accurately compute specific mathematical problems.
How to Use the Calculator
To use this calculator, enter the distance you ran in miles and the time it took you to run that distance in hours, minutes, and seconds. Then, click the “Calculate” button to see your average speed in miles per hour, as well as your pace in minutes per mile.
How It Calculates the Results
The calculator converts the time you entered into hours as a decimal, and then divides the distance by this time to calculate the average speed in miles per hour. It also calculates the pace by dividing the total time (in minutes) by the distance to give you the pace in minutes per mile.
Limitations
This calculator assumes you are running on a flat course and does not account for variations in elevation, wind, or other conditions that could affect your performance. Additionally, the calculator uses decimal hours for time input, so small differences in time inputs may not be perfectly accurate. Always use this calculator as an estimate rather than an absolute measure of performance.
