Smart Home Electricity Cost Calculator

This calculator helps you estimate the monthly electricity cost for multiple devices in your smart home. Simply fill in the fields and hit “Calculate” to see the estimated cost.

How to Use

  1. Enter the power consumption of your device in watts.
  2. Specify the number of hours the device is used per day.
  3. Specify the number of days the device is used per month.
  4. Enter your electricity rate per kWh (you can usually find this on your electricity bill).
  5. Enter the number of devices you want to calculate the cost for.
  6. Click the “Calculate” button to see the result in the “Result” field.

How it Calculates the Results

The calculator performs the following steps to estimate the electricity cost:

  1. Divide the power consumption by 1000 to convert it to kilowatts.
  2. Multiply the kilowatts by the number of hours used per day and the number of days used per month to get the total kilowatt-hours (kWh) used.
  3. Multiply the total kWh used by the electricity rate to get the total cost.
  4. Multiply the total cost by the number of devices to get the final estimate.

Limitations

Please note that this calculator is an estimate and may not reflect the actual costs due to variations in electricity rates, device efficiency, and usage patterns. For more accurate results, consult your electricity bill and monitor your actual device usage.
