True Shooting Percentage Calculator
True Shooting Percentage (TS%) is a basketball statistic that measures a player’s efficiency at shooting the ball. It takes into account field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.
How to use:
- Enter the total number of points scored by the player.
- Enter the number of field goal attempts.
- Enter the number of free throws made.
- Enter the number of free throw attempts.
- Click on the ‘Calculate’ button to see the True Shooting Percentage.
How it calculates the result: The calculator uses the following formula:
TS% = Points / (2 * (Field Goals Attempted + 0.44 * Free Throw Attempts))
Limitations: This calculator provides an estimate based on entered data. It assumes that all field goals are worth 2 points except for 3-point makes, which must be accounted for in the total points. It cannot determine individual play types or context within a game.
