This tool will calculate your Total Sum of Squares (TSS) to help you understand data variability.
TSS Calculator
Use this calculator to determine your Training Stress Score (TSS) based on your workout data.
How to Use the Calculator
- Enter your Functional Threshold Power (FTP) in the corresponding field.
- Enter your Normalized Power (NP) in the next field.
- Specify the duration of your workout in minutes.
- Enter your Intensity Factor (IF).
- Click on the “Calculate” button to get your TSS.
How the Calculator Works
The Training Stress Score (TSS) is calculated using the formula:
TSS = (Duration x NP x IF) / (FTP x 60) * 100
Where:
- Duration: The length of your workout in minutes.
- NP (Normalized Power): An advanced way of measuring power output during a workout.
- FTP (Functional Threshold Power): The highest power you can maintain for an hour.
- IF (Intensity Factor): A measure of how intense the workout was.
Limitations
This calculator assumes that you have accurate and valid data for FTP, NP, and IF. The results are only as accurate as the data you provide. Ensure to consult with a coach or use validated devices for more precise measurements.
