Use this velocity calculator to quickly determine the speed of an object in a specific direction.
Velocity Calculator
How to Use the Calculator
Enter the distance covered in meters and the time taken in seconds in their respective fields and then click the “Calculate” button. The calculator will display the velocity in meters per second (m/s).
How It Calculates Results
The calculator uses the formula velocity = distance / time to determine the velocity of an object in motion. It divides the input distance value by the input time value and outputs the result in meters per second.
Limitations
This velocity calculator assumes a constant speed over the given distance and time. It does not account for variables such as acceleration or deceleration. Additionally, it is not suited for computing velocities at which relativistic effects become significant, as these require Einstein’s theory of relativity to calculate accurately.
