- Enter the age of your vehicle in complete years in the “Age of Vehicle” field.

How the VRT Calculator Works
The VRT percentage is calculated based on the engine capacity and the age of the vehicle. Below are the basic rules:
- Engine Capacity up to 1000 cc: 14%
- Engine Capacity between 1001 and 1500 cc: 16%
- Engine Capacity between 1501 and 2000 cc: 20%
- Engine Capacity between 2001 and 2500 cc: 24%
- Engine Capacity above 2500 cc: 30%
For each year the vehicle has been in use beyond the first year, a deduction of 2 percentage points is applied. The final VRT percentage cannot drop below 0%.
Limitations
This calculator provides an estimate only. Various other factors may affect the actual VRT payable, including but not limited to CO2 emissions and vehicle type (e.g. commercial vehicles may have different rates).
