How to Use the Wall Paint Calculator
Simply enter the width and height of your wall in meters, specify how many coats of paint you intend to apply, and enter your paint’s coverage defined as square meters per liter. After you fill in all the fields, click on the ‘Calculate’ button to see how much paint you’ll need. The calculator will display the result in liters.
How the Calculator Works
Our calculator multiplies the width by the height to determine the total wall area. It then multiplies the wall area by the number of coats to get the total area that will be painted. Finally, it divides this total area by the paint coverage to estimate how many liters of paint you will need. The formula used is: (Width x Height) x Coats / Coverage.
Calculator Limitations
Please note this calculator assumes that the walls are smooth and without windows or doors. If your walls have windows, doors, or other areas that won’t be painted, the estimated paint needed might be too high. Additionally, varying paint types and surface conditions could alter paint coverage. For best results, consult the paint container for specific coverage recommendations and adjust your calculations accordingly.
