How to Use the Warm-up Reps Calculator
To use this calculator, input your maximum number of repetitions, the maximum weight you can lift for those repetitions, the number of warm-up sets you want to perform, and the percentage increment for each warm-up set.
For example, if your maximum repetitions are 10, the maximum weight you can lift is 100 kg, you want 3 warm-up sets, and you want the weight to increase by 10% each set, input those values respectively.
Calculation Method
The calculator divides your maximum repetitions by the number of warm-up sets plus one to determine the repetitions for each set. For the weight, it calculates an incremented percentage decrease from your maximum weight for each set.
For instance, given a max weight of 100 kg, if you set 3 warm-up sets with a 10% increment, the weights might be distributed as follows: Set 1: 70.00 kg, Set 2: 80.00 kg, Set 3: 90.00 kg.
Calculator Limitations
Note that this calculator assumes linear progression in weight increments and equal distribution of reps among the sets. It might not be suitable for all programming styles or training regimens. Always consult with a fitness professional for personalized advice.
