This yield calculator tool will help you quickly determine the potential return on your investments.
Yield Calculator
This yield calculator helps to estimate the future value of an investment based on initial investment, annual return rate, number of years, and additional annual contributions.
How to Use
- Enter your initial investment amount in the “Initial Investment ($)” field.
- Enter the expected annual return rate in the “Annual Return Rate (%)” field.
- Enter the number of years you plan to keep this investment in the “Number of Years” field.
- Optionally, enter any additional contributions you plan to make each year in the “Annual Additional Contributions ($)” field.
- Click the “Calculate” button to see the future value of your investment.
How It Calculates
The calculator uses the following formula to estimate the future value of the investment:
Future Value = (Initial Investment + Annual Contributions) * (1 + Annual Return Rate)Years
This formula is repeated for each year of the investment.
Limitations
Please note that this calculator provides a simplified estimation and does not account for taxes, fees, or other deductions that may affect the actual returns of an investment. Additionally, the return rate is assumed to be the same every year, which may not be true in real-world investments.
Use Cases for This Calculator
