Use this playback speed calculator to quickly determine the adjusted duration of your video or audio content when changing its playback speed.
Playback Speed Calculator
How to Use the Calculator
To use this calculator, input the original duration of the video or audio in minutes and the playback speed multiplier you’ll be using. For example, if you’re watching a video at double speed, enter 2 as the playback speed. Once you’ve entered both values, click on the “Calculate” button to see the new duration.
How It Works
This calculator works by dividing the original duration by the playback speed. Since playback speed is a multiplier of the normal speed, dividing the total duration by this multiplier provides the new, adjusted duration.
Limitations
The calculator assumes that playback speed is constant throughout the entire duration. It does not account for variations in speed that may occur during playback. Furthermore, this tool is only accurate when the correct values are entered in the designated fields.
